Tuesday Coaches Pitch

The coaches pitch league for Wabash Little League had two games Tuesday. The Troxel Equipment Dodgers hosted the JM Reynolds Oil Co. Yankees. For the Dodgers: Ava Bishir had a great heads up play at 3rd getting a tag on a runner trying to take home. Henry Craig also had a great heads up play with a tag on a runner between 2nd and 3rd. Brodie Height had a triple and a inside the park home run. Talan Baker had two triples in clutch situations. But Zion McKnight had the play of the game running down a base runner from the pitchers mound when the runner was half way to 3rd already, making the biggest out of the game and sealing our victory! The Yankees held tough all game with Korbin Brumley and Poncho Lopez both going 3 for 3 on the night. Jaxon McCollum made some great plays at first and had a big hit for the Yankees. Dodgers win 16-15. The second game was the B and N Design WhiteSox hosting the Dairy Queen Cardinals. With only 9 players tonight the White Sox stepped up their game on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game against the Cardinals. Scoring 7 runs in their last at bat to win by 1; 15-14. Kenyen Weeks, Drake Samuel and Chase Baker all went 3-3 at the plate. Justyne Kirkpatrick got a key hit in the last inning garnering her first RBI of the season and earning the game ball. Austin Lamson, Braxton Beeks and Addison Sorg were 3-3 on the night. White Sox squeeze out a win 15-14.
