Wabash Little League had two very close coaches pitch games Wednesday. First was the Wendt Crane & Rigging Pirates hosting the Ford Meter Box Reds. The Pirates played some tough defense through 4 innings holding the lead 6-1 until the Reds got hot in the 5th. The bats got hot for the Reds in the 5th scoring 7 runs to take the lead. The Pirates threatened in the next couple innings but the Reds held them off. Reds win 9-8. The second game of the night was an excellent example of why Wabash Little League is so great!!!! The C/S Printing Cubs hosted the F.O.P. Angels in an epic 2 extra inning battle of two great teams. The Cubs held the lead till the bats went to work for the Angels in the 6th inning tying the game and pushing extra innings. Both teams played tough the whole game. Derek Reed earned the game ball for the Angels by going 4 for 4 at the plate and playing great defense. Luke Eviston earned the game ball for the Cubs by playing heads up on defense at first base. Logan Osborn played great at second base for the Cubs making a couple clutch plays. The Angels late innings drive lifted them to the win 15-12.
