Squire Tennis Falls To Norwell

After several rainouts, the Manchester Tennis Team finally got to play a home match this season. The young Squires ran into a much older and experienced Norwell team and were defeated quickly 50. “I thought we were competitive in most games, but Norwell played a little higher level of tennis and their consistency was a big difference,” said Head Coach Eric Screeton. The Squire Squad will open up conference play tomorrow at Whitko. “We break the season down into a couple phases, the early season, conference play, and then sectionals. I think our guys are ready to have some motivation for some matches as we enter TRC time.” added Screeton. Over the next ten days, the young Squires will face four tough conference
opponents. After Thursday’s match against Whitko, the Squires will face Maconaquah at home next Monday at 5:00.
