NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Double-digit kill totals for senior Courtney Chowning(Yorktown, Ind.) and the sophomore outside hitting duo of Farren Miller (Lebanon, Ind.) andHaley Duncan (Albion, Ind.) helped key Manchester University past a rugged Indiana University – Northwest squad to close a 4-0 run through its home invitational Saturday, Sept. 17.
While Chowning and Miller tallied 11 each and Duncan ended with 10, the story of the Black and Gold’s success didn’t stop there. The Black and Gold produced a .533 attack percentage led by freshman outside hitterEmma DeWitt (Brookston, Ind.) who pounded 11 kills with no errors in 13 attempts for a precipitous .846 percentage.
