Manchester University picked up a pair of honorable mention awards and a Sportsmanship squad accolade with the release of the 2016 all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer awards, released Thursday, Nov. 10.
Freshman defender Brandon Renninger (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and sophomore midfielder Samuel Tetteh-Quarshie (Acra, Ghana) were placed on the honorable mention list. Junior goalkeeper Brady Forman (Hastings, Mich.) earned Sportsmanship team honors.
Renninger started 17 of 18 matches for the Black and Gold’s back line and was one of three players to appear in every match. Tetteh-Quarshie wound up tied for the squad lead in goals (six) and game-winning scores (two) while standing in the top three in shots (27), shots on goal (14) and points (14).
