The Manchester Squires played host to 4A, #4 Logansport Saturday, hanging with the Berries most of the game before falling 64-50.
The Squires would get a three from David McAtee and buckets from Mason Hamby and Koehl Fluke as they played right with the highly ranked Berries the first quarter, trailing 14-11 after one.
Logansport would increase their lead in the second, but the Squires were still within striking distance at the half. Manchester would get three;s from Hamby and Kam Lester, plus buckets from Hamby and Kane Gable as Logansport led 34-23 at the half.
The Logansport lead slowly grew in the third as the Berries out scored the Squires 16-13. Brayden Casper scored 7 points in the quarter which included a long ball while Hamby, Fluke and Devon Rooney all had buckets. Manchester trailed 50-36 after three.
The two teams would play to a 14-14 tie in the fourth. Four players had buckets for the Squires as they had one of their better outings of the season, falling 64-50.
The Manchester junior varsity defeated Logansport 37-35.
