Wabash Wins JH Girls Battle Over Southwood

The Wabash 7th grade girls defeated Southwood 14-11 Monday.

Leading Wabash was Kiersten O’Neill with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals. Linda Cordes added 4 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, Annie Cole 3 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, Ashley Province 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal, Julia France 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 8 steals, Brook Westendorf 2 rebounds, Kalista Ballschmidt 1 rebound, 1 assist, Kasey Long 1 assist, 1 steal.

Bailey Wyatt led Southwood’s scoring with 8 points and Ashley Smith followed with 3 points. Wyatt also led in the theft column with 4 and Marissa Metzger had 3. Madison Hipskind pulled down 5 defensive rebounds with Wyatt adding 3 defensive rebounds.

 

The Wabash 8th grade defeated Southwood 32-14.

Leading Wabash was Alivia Short with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 6 steals. Mariah Wyatt added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, Nici Gunderman 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assist, 4 steals, Brooke Bowling 2 rebounds, 4 steals, Isabelle Davis 1 rebound, 2 assist, 4 steals, Jordan Montgomery 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, Sierra Hall 1 point, 3 rebounds, Madison Lutz 2 steals.

Erin McGouldrick put in 4 points for the Knights, while Maggie Ball; Natalie Haycraft; Trista Roser, Autumn Culver; and Ashley Smith all added 2 points. McGouldrick had 6 rebounds, with Ball and Roser each bringing down 4.
