The Wabash Middle School soccer team fell to Peru 6-4 Monday.
Wabash jumped out to an early lead on a Grant Carendante goal at 2 minutes in. Peru answered with a couple of goals of their own before Andrew Dinkins scored on a free kick from 25 yards out. Grant Carendante scored again just before halftime and the teams went into the half with a score of 3-5. Wabash made some defensive adjustments at the half and came out stronger in the second half. Wabash limited Peru to 4 shots on goal in the second as Lex Haynes and Andrew Dinkins were solid on defense for the Apaches. Grant Carendante wrapped up his hat trick mid way through the second half and the game ended with a score of 4 to 6.
