Manchester hosted Peru and also celebrated seniors in a TRC matchup. Winning first for the Lady Squires was the doubles team of Kendra Auler and Elizabeth Anguilm with a strong 6-0 second set. Lydia Little stepped into three singles and played steady tennis including 6 straight to win the match after falling behind 0-3. Next the one doubles duo of Bethany Collett and Lauren Metzger wrapped up the team win with smart shots and great returns. After each winning the opening sets, the Eichenauer sisters would both struggle to maintain their level of play in losing their second and third sets. The team’s record improves to 9-3 and 6-1 in TRC action. In Junior Varsity play, Peru had only four players which provided, with replaying, 6 sets all in favor of Manchester. Singles winners were Rebekah Pyle, Anna Osborne, Cora Barnett, Emily Ogden, and Lindsay Rice. Halie Wampler and Morgan Stroud won at doubles to improve the JV record to 7-3-1.
