The Northfield softball team split a pair of game at LaVille Saturday, falling 7-4 in game one before pummeling Elkhart Christian 19-1 in game two.
In game one the Norse led 4-1 heading to the seventh when they gave up 6 runs to fall. Northfield collected 6 hits with Kiana Kendall and Jordan Shafer leading the way with 2 hits each. Olivia Taylor and Michelle Hunt each added a hit. Taylor drove home 2 runs, while Madison Shrider had a rbi.
In game two the Norse pounded out 18 hits and scored 11 runs in the first inning before cruising to the 19-1 win.
Ally Keaffaber led the way with 3 hits and 4 rbi’s. Madison Shrider had 3 hits and 2rbi’s with Alexis Taylor collecting 3 hits and 2rbi’s. Bailey Burcroff, Kiana Kendall, Jordan Shafer and Michelle Hunt each had 2 hits. Olivia Taylor also had a hit.
