Manchester senior Rae Bedke pulled off another amazing performance at the South Bend St Joseph regional Tuesday, placing second in the 1600 in a time of 5:01.38 before winning the 3200 in a new school record time of 11:04.06 to advance to the state finals in both events.
Bedke was just six tenths from winning the 1600, while winning the 3200 by nearly 2 seconds. Bailey Sewell finished 4th in the discus with a throw of 109′-02”. Manchester’s 4×800 relay team finished 14th. Tahnee Fuentes was 13th in the 100.
At Marion the Southwood 4×400 relay team finished 4th, setting a new school record in a time of 4:09.02. Team members were Eva Goff, Makenna Dawes, Morgan Farr, and Ellie White. Makenna Dawes also competed in the 100 hurdles. White finished 15th in the 400. Ashley Parson placed 14th in the high jump.
Northfield’s Jacklyn Peas finished 6th in the 300 hurdles with team mate Brittany Bussard placing 11th. The Northfield 4×400 relay team finished 16th.
