The Manchester and Wabash football teams played in one of the two county battles Friday with the Squires jumping out to a 30-0 lead in route to a 38-16 win.
The Squires led just 8-0 in the first half when Josh Shepherd scored on a 7yd run in the first quarter. Manchester would open things up in the third. Delton Moore would race 26yds for a touchdown with the Squires scoring later on a Nick Wagner interception to lead 22-0 after three.
In the fourth Hayes Sturtsman would connect with Devon Rooney for 36yds as the lead grew to 30-0 before the Apaches got on the board on a 1yd run by Devon Higdon to make it 30-8. Sturtsman would find Rooney again from 7yds out to make it 38-8 before Wabash got the final score on a 14yd Cody Beeks for the 38-16 final.
