The Manchester Tennis Team broke their three match losing streak on Thursday night as Whitko came to town. “We had lost three matches in a row, but I was not disappointed in our play during that stretch, we had played some tough competition and I was really excited for this week, after our competitive showing on Saturday,” said Head Coach Eric Screeton. The Squires were able to get the ball rolling quickly with victories from number one singles Luke Donathan 6-0, 6-0 and number three singles Kyle Shepherd 6-0, 6-0. In Doubles action, number one team of Logan Parrett and Parker Wagoner won 6-0, 6-0 as did the number two team Quinn Martin and Kam Lester 6-0, 6-0. The final match completed the sweep for the Squires as Spence Trick won 6-0, 6-1, moving Manchester record to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in conference. The Squires will be back in action Tuesday, September 12th vs. Wabash in North Manchester starting at 5:00.
