The Manchester boys soccer team scored just two goals in the first half before erupting for six more in the second half in an 8-0 win over Maconaquah Monday.
Caleb Stout, who scored four times in the game got the first goal at the 30:15 mark off an assist from Isaiah Davis for a 1-0 lead with the tow trading rolls with 23:16 left when Davis scored off a Stout assist. Manchester led 2-0 at the half.
With 33:24 left in the game Stout would get his second goal. Brandon Wagoner would follow at the 26:28 mark off a Justin Self assist as the lead grew to 4-0. With 20:13 on the board Stout would record a hat trick off a Fermin Guerrero assist with Stout scoring again two minutes later from a Davis assist. Noah Beck would score the last two goals of the game, both assisted by Nathan Self.
The two teams will meet again in the first round of the Maconaquah sectional
