Knights JH Football Splits With Squires

The 7th grade football team hosted Manchester for their 5th game of the season Tuesday, defeating the Squires 48-0. The Knights posted another shut out, running through the Squires for seven scores and 275 yards on the ground.
On Offensive: Cole Winer had 164 yards on 5 carries scoring 3 touchdowns; Morgan Lloyd had 70 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns and was involved in 3 extra point conversions; Isaiah Sutton had 41 total yards rushing and with 3 running, plus 1 passing effort accounted for the rest of the conversions.
On defense: the Knights were lead in tackling by Kaden Rody, Jason Oprisek, Nevan Sharp, Braxton Worthington, Dylan Abshire, Toby Cummins, and Isaiah Sutton. Sutton also had and interception and return of 18 yards.

The 8th grade football Knights fell to Manchester 52-28.

Top offensive performances: Quarterback Joey Bland hung in to connect on ten passes for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns; Derrick Smith caught 2 for 63 (TD); Tryce Hartley caught 2 for 26 (TD); Kaden Rody caught 3 for 53 (TD + PAT); Kaden Meredith rushed for 29 yards (TD + PAT).
On defense the Knights had a good team effort in the second half. Brayden Smith snagged an interception and returned it 6 yards.
