The Manchester Squires picked up a road win Friday, going to Whitko and defeating the Wildcats 34-14.
The Squires would grab a 14-0 lead in the first quarter when Hayes Sturtsman connected with Trey Clark from 43yds out for a 7-0 lead after the Klayton Hendrix extra point. Sturtsman would theh find pay dirt on his own, rushing for a 14yd touchdown as Manchester led 14-0 after one.
The Sturtsman to Clark combination would be the lone score of the second quarter as the two hooked up from 89yds out for a 21-0 Manchester halftime lead.
Whitko would get the only score of the third quarter to make it 21-7 before the Squires put the game away early in the fourth. Sturtsman would score for the second time on the ground, this time from 14yds out for a 27-7 lead, then hit Parker Yard for a 25yd scoring strike to lead 34-7 before winning 34-14.
