Wabash Tennis Edged In Regional

The Wabash Boys tennis team ended their season Tuesday night coming up short against Warsaw 2-3 in the Culver regional.

The Apaches ended with a record of 20-2. Gage Ballard had a tough match but played well losing 0-6 0-6. 2 doubles of Jonah France and Asif Khan lost a tough first set 5-7 then lost the second 2-6. 1 doubles (alex Driscoll and matt stein) came out slow dropping the first set 0-6. And started the second set 1-4, however they battled the whole way through finally losing the second set 4-6. Luke Mattern at 2 singles won 6-2 7-5 finishing his season unbeaten and didn’t drop a set all year. He had an amazing senior year. Rob Ford had a tough match at 1 singles and he dropped his first set 2-6. However Rob played an amazing last two sets winning 6-4 6-4. I was proud how they competed all day long against a great team.
