Lady Apaches Soccer To Play In Sectional Championship

The Wabash girls soccer team won their first ever sectional game two nights ago with a chance to pick up win number two on Thursday.

The Lady Apaches would get a goal from Olivia Linsday off a beautiful pass in front of the goal from Baliey Yoakum with 17:49 left in the first half for a 1-0 lead. The solo goal is all the Wabash defense and goalie Kenzie Gray would need for a 1-0 win.

Gray stopped everything Taylor threw at her, collecting 12 saves in the game. The defense was strong again Thursday with Maya Benysh, Leigha Boggs, Maggie France, Yoakum and Kelsie Olinger with another incredible performance in the stopper position.

The Lady Apaches play in the sectional championship Saturday night at 7:00 at Eastbook, facing Eastbrook.
