The Wabash football team played host to Tippecanoe Valley Friday, coming from behind to defeat the Vikings 30-27.
Valley would take the early lead on a 7yd run before the Apaches answered when Devin Higdon scored from a yard out. Austin Vinopal would then run in the two point conversion for an 8-6 lead. Valley would return in the insuing kick off for a touchdown and led Wabash 14-8 after one.
Valley would extend their lead to 21-8 early in the second quarter before the Apaches came alive. Higdon and Vinopal would hook up for a 20yd touchdown pass to cut the Valley lead to 21-16, then do it again from 41yds to lead 23-21 at the half.
The Apaches would get the lone score of the third quarter when Higdon found Austin Wieland from 55yds out to grab a 30-21 lead.
Valley got the lone score in the fourth for the 30-27 final.
