It was as cold in Coolman Gymnasium Tuesday as it was outside as the Wabash Lady Apaches played host to 2A, #1 Oak Hill. Wabash shot just 18% from the field while Oak Hill managed just 36% as the Eagles defeated the Apaches 45-26.

Oak Hill would then get a bucket from Brittany McCorkle and a free throw each from Jenessa Hasty and Kaela Robey to lead 6-2 after the first quarter.
Oak HIll would extend their lead to 9-2 to start the second quarter off a Hasty three before Higdon made it 9-5 with a long ball of her own. At 11-6 Oak Hill would go on an 8-0 run to end the quarter and led 19-6 at the half. Carmen Higdon had all of the Apaches points.
The Eagles would come out and score the first 5 points of the third quarter to increase their lead to 24-6 before Bailey Yoakum got on the board. Oak Hill would stretch their lead to 30-10 before two Higdon free throws and a Yoakum bucket made it 33-14 after three.
The Apaches would finally start to find the bucket a little better in the fourth, playing the Eagles to a 12-12 tie. Yoakum, Abby Vinopal and Tabitha Wagner each had a bucket for Wabash while Higdon hit four free throws.
