Southwood would start the 4th quarter on a barrage with assisted baskets coming from 6 different players as a quick 11-0 run in under 2 minutes would solidify the Knights victory. Southwood would win the final period 23-9 to pull away for a nice victory.
Coach West quote “Very proud of my girls tonight. So easy during a long losing streak for players to lose focus and determination. Our attitudes have remained great and our work ethic also admirable. The girls are committed to improvement and strive daily to achieve that. I’m just happy for these young ladies that we were able to showcase how much we have improved lately and get the proverbial monkey off our backs. We’re eager to return to practice tomorrow to build upon tonight’s success.”
