Squires Win Overtime Thriller Over Concordia

The Manchester Squires got a huge performance from their two seniors Mason Hamby and Koehl Fluke Saturday as they knocked off Concordia 66-63 in overtime.

The Squires played the Cadets to an 11-11 tie after the first quarter. Manchester would use a 10-2 run in the second quarter to out score Concordia 19-17 and led 30-28 at the half.

The Cadets would come back to take the third quarter 18-13 to grab a 46-43 lead after three to set up the exciting fourth. The Squires would go to Mason Hamby who scored 14 straight in the quarter to knot the game at 57-57 with 19 seconds left before Koehl Fluke missed a game winner at the buzzer.

The Squires would build a 64-61 lead in the overtime before Concordia hit and fouled freshman Weston Hamby with 10 seconds remaining. Hamby would calmly sink both free throws as the Squires held on for the 66-63 win.

The Manchester junior varsity defeated Concordia 50-40 while the C team fell 46-37
