This years Southwood Knights already had Carson Blair become the all time leading scorer earlier in the season. Last week at Madison Grant Peyton Trexler became the second player to reach 1000 points which is an amazing feat to have two players do so in the same season. Tuesday at Adams Central the Knights took it a step further when Matt Nose became the third. Three 1000 point scorers on the same team with one being the all time scoring leader, a feat that may never be seen again. To top it off the Knights flew past the Flying Jets 89-66.
The Knights would open a 22-16 lead after the first quarter before exploding for 28 points in the second and led 50-29 at the half. Blair had 22 points in the half with Trexler adding 18. Southwood would go on to out score Adams Central 39-37 in the second half.
In the second half Trexler would have two, two hand dunks with Blair adding a three quarter court pass that ended up going in for a three pointer, but the story was Matt Nose. Nose needed 11 points to hit 1000 and had just 2 at the half before scoring 12 in the second half to reach the milestone.
