It was round two of the metro collision at Northfield Friday as the Norse played host to Southwood with the Knights needing a win to clinch the out right TRC title. Southwood had clinched a share of the conference title last week in a win over Maconaquah. The Knights would grab the lead midway through the first quarter and never trail again as they defeated Northfield 77-54.
Southwood took a 2-0 lead on a Peyton Trexler bucket before the Norse would score 5 straight. Kyle Reed would hit two free throws before Jared Peas drained a three for a 5-2 lead. Southwood would answer with two free throws, followed by a Dallas Holmes layup to put the Knights up 6-5. With Northfield leading 7-6 after two Reed free throws the Knights would end the quarter on a 12-0 run. Carson Blair got the run going and scored 7 of the 11 points. Southwood led 18-7 after one.
Cole Rosen would get the first bucket of the second quarter, followed by Logan Peas to make it 18-11 before Holmes hit a deuce and a three to make it 23-11. Joe Halderman would answer the Holmes three with one of his own and was followed by a Reed bucket to make it 23-16. The Norse cut the Knights lead to 28-21 before again the Knights would end the quarter on a run. Southwood scored 7 straight off a Blair bucket and two from Holmes, one being a three to lead 35-22 at the half.
The Knights would throw a big punch to start the third quarter, starting the quarter on a 12-1 run. Blair started the run with a three before Holmes and Trexler took over as the Knights lead grew to 47-23. Kyle Reed would stop the run with a free throw before Blair and Holmes hit again for a 50-24. The remainder of the quarter would be Reed trading buckets with Trexler and Holmes as Southwood led 56-32 with a quarter to go.
Joe Halderman would start the fourth quarter with a long ball that was answered by two Holmes buckets to make it 60-35 before the Norse would score 11 of the next 15 points to make it 64-46. Halderman would hit another three during the run with Holmes and Trexler hitting the Knights two buckets. Up 67-46 with 3:17 to go, the Knights would pound the ball to Holmes who hit three times down the stretch with Blair adding a three as the Knights clinched the TRC 77-54.

Connor Rich scored 10 points to lead the Knights and also added 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Carson Rich had 8 pts. 4 assists and 3 steals. Gabe Lloyd added 8 pts. 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Quentin Perry also had 8 pts. Braden Barney and Alex Farr both tallied 6 pts. Jackson Simons had 4 pts. and 5 rebounds while Dillion Filip also had 4 pts. Colby Crow completed the scoring with 2.
