The Southwood Knights capped off an 11 game win streak and a 19 win season with a 69-61 win at Bluffton Friday.
Playing at Bluffton has traditionally been a thorn in the side of the Knights and Friday started in similar fashion before the explosive firepower of the Knights got a spark.
Southwood trailed 17-9 after the first quarter before the balanced scoring attack led by Carson Blair would come back in the second, out scoring the Tigers 19-13 to close the deficit to 30-28 at the half. Bluffton would give the Knights all they wanted in the third, playing to a 13-13 and still leading the Knights 43-41 after three. That spark the Knights had been waiting on came in the fourth when they exploded for 28 points while the defense held Bluffon to 18 for the 69-61 win.
