Alma slips past Black and Gold

WARSAW, IND. – Two of three doubles decisions sparked the Manchester University’s men in their spring opener Sunday, Feb. 25.

Visiting Alma College of Michigan squeaked out a 5-4 victory behind four wins in singles competition. Junior Connor Eichenauer (North Manchester, Ind.) and freshman Isaac Miller(Goshen, Ind.) were 8-4 victors at number two doubles, and the senior pairing of Kyler Love(North Webster, Ind.) and Garrett Bear (Indianapolis, Ind.) slipped past AC’s Jadon House and David Suidgeest 9-7. Miller and fellow underclassman Gavin Eads (Bourbon, Ind.) added the other two team points for the Black and Gold with singles triumphs.

Manchester University breaks from competition until Saturday, March 31, when they host Mt. St. Joseph in their home and Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener.
