ANDERSON, IND. – Manchester University compiled four top three marks at the Fred Wilt Invitational Saturday, Feb. 24.
Freshman sprinter Travis Murr (Franklin, Ind.) led the way, crossing the finish line in 7.02 seconds in route to a runner-up finish. The time took two-hundredths of a second off his previous school record. He came back later at Anderson University’s Kardatzke Wellness Center to take third in the 200 (22.68 seconds).
The remaining two first threes for Coach Brian Cashdollar’s squad occurred in the jumps. Sophomore Austin Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.) leapt 6.41 meters in the long jump, good for third, while junior Justin Meredith (Shelbyville, Ind.) placed third in the triple jump, going 11.56 meters.
The Spartans wrap up their regular season Saturday, March 3, sending select individuals to the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point’s last chance national qualifying meet.
