The Manchester Lady Squires went 2-0 at Garrett Saturday, defeating South Adams 2-1 in game one, then coming back to defeat Garrett 3-0 in game two.
In game one against South Adams Manchester would grab a 1-0 lead in the second and a 2-0 lead in the fifth before giving up a run in the sixth.
In the second Sydney Day would hit a two out double before a Torina Runkel single scored Day for a 1-0 lead. In the fifth Runkel would lead off with a double and score on a Mattie McKee double. The Squires would then get a single from Andrea Kahn before an Emma West line drive resulted in a double play with McKee left standing on second. Allie Sites would then single with McKee being stopped at third before a pop up ended the inning.
South Adams would score their run in the sixth with the Squires hanging on for the 2-1 win.
In game two Manchester pitcher Torina Runkel would limit Garrett to just 3 hits while the Squires collected 10. Manchester would score 2 runs in the first and 1 in the sixth.
In the first Emma West would lead off the game with a single. With one out Mackenzie day would double with West stopping at third. Kiera Stacy would follow reaching on an error with the runners staying put to load the bases. Carson Howard would then single home West for a 1-0 lead, folowed by a Sydney Day fly out, scoring Mackenzie Day who had tagged up.
In the sixth Sydney Day would lead off with a single and was followed by a Runkel single. With one out and runners on second and third after a Mackenzie Day sacrifice Kahn would single home Day for a 3-0 lead. A fielders choice and a line drive out would end the inning.
