The Southwood Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Rochester rallied in the sixth to defeat Southwood 7-5 Wednesday.
The Knights would plate 2 runs in the first when Clayton Wells hit a one out single and was followed by a Logan Barley walk. Alex Farr then singled home both runners for a 2-0 lead.
Southwood would add 2 more runs in the top of the second. Cam Ball led off with a single. With Ball standing on second with two outs Mason Yentes would single to put runners on the corners before a Wells single scored Ball. Barley would then single home Yentes for a 4-0 lead. Rochester would answer with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning, then score 1 in the third to make it 4-3.
The Knights would add to their lead in the fourth when Lucas Topliff led off with a double and was followed by a Connor Rich single. Topliff would then score on a Yentes single to lead 5-4. The Zebras would plate a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 5-4.
Rochester would grab their first lead in the sixth, scoring three times for a 7-5 lead before putting the Knights out in order in the seventh.
