The Manchester Lady Squires would score early and often as they picked up a road win at Maconaquah 13-6 Wednesday.
Trailing 2-0 heading to the second the Lady Squires would get busy. Kiera Stacy led off the inning with a single and was forced out at second on a fielders choice. Sydney Day would then ground out with Carsyn Howard advancing to second. Lydia Greer would then single home Howard to make it 2-1. Mattie Mckee would follow with a single to put runners on the corners before an Andrea Kahn single scored Greer to make it 2-2.
The Squires would score 2 more times in the third, getting singles from Allie Sites, Sydney Day and Mattie McKee to grow the Manchester lead to 5-2.
Manchester would go crazy in the fourth. Emma West led off being hit by a pitch before a Sites single chased West to third. Mackenzie Day would then single home West and Sites for a 7-2 lead. Stacy would follow with a single and Day reaching third before a Howard walk loaded the bases. Two fielders choices would leave the bases loaded with two outs when McKee doubled home Howard and Sydney Day for a 9-2 lead. The last two runs of the inning would come off a Kahn single that scored Greer and McKee to lead 11-2.
Maconaquah would score a run in the sixth to make it 11-3 heading to the seventh. In the top of the seventh Howard would walk and was followed by a Sydney Day single. Howard would then steal home and score on a bad throw with day following for a 13-3 lead. The Braves would score three times in the bottom of the inning for the 13-6 final.
