The Southwood Knights fell in a pair of games to Eastbrook Saturday 11-4 & 5-2.
In game one the Knights led 2-1 after two innings. In the first Mason Yentes would lead off reaching on an error. With one out Logan Barley would draw a walk. With runners on second and third after a double steal Yentes would score on an Alex Farr grounder to make it 1-1.
In the second cam Ball led off drawing a walk. With one out Lucas Topliff would walk before Ball stole third and scored on a Tanner Hartley fly ball.
Eastbrook would grab a 4-2 lead in the third, then increase the lead to 5-2 in the top of the fifth. In the bottom of the inning Yentes would draw a one out walk before taking second on a wild pitch. With Yentes on third after a ground out Barley would walk before Yentes scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-3.
The Eastbrook bats would find all the holes in the top of the sixth, scoring 6 times to take an 11-3 lead. The Knights would get one back in the bottom on a Cam Ball home run.
In game two the Knights would score solo runs in the second and sixth. The run in the second came when Wells was hit by a pitch and scored on a Tristin Hayslett double.The run in the sixth came when Ball reached on an error before stealing second and scoring on a bad throw.
