The Southwood Knights fought hard, but in the end, could not quite get back into the game, falling to Western 13-6 Friday.

Offensively for the Knights, Logan Barley collected 3 hits in 4 tries. James Kelley also went 2 for 2 with a walk. Clayton Wells and Cameron Ball had the other two hits for Southwood.

On the mound, Clayton Wells started the game. He went 3 2/3 innings allowing 12 runs (all earned) on 8 hits. Clayton walked 9 and could not get a strike out. Payton Deeter then entered the game and went the final 2 1/3 innings. Payton allowed one run on one hit, while walking one batter.

The Knights finish up the home schedule Saturday morning at 10 am, when they host Bluffton.
