The Manchester Squires struggled for most of the day at the plate Saturday in game two of the semi finals of the Wabash sectional, collecting just 4 hits for the game with half of them coming when it counted the most in the bottom of the seventh, before winning 2-1 on a walk off walk.
Rochester pitching kept the Squires off balance for most of the game as the Squires found themselves trailing 1-0 heading to the bottom of the seventh. Needing at least one run Hayes Sturtsman would lead off the inning with a stand up triple with Jeremiah Aigood following with a single to make it 1-1. Thane Creager would then lay down a sac bunt to move Airgood to second before Mason Roberts drew a walk. Trey McNall would then drop down a bunt in the perfect spot that no one could field and the bases were loaded with Kyle Shepherd coming to the plate. Shepherd would take four straight balls to force home Airgood with the winning run as the Squires won 2-1 on a walk off walk.
With the win Manchester will play Lewis Cass Monday at 7:00 for the sectional championship
