It took overtime and five goals from Harley Kruschwitz, but the Manchester boys soccer team moved to 6-0(3-0TRC) for the season with a 5-3 win on the road at Rochester Tuesday.
The Squires led 2-1 at the half. Kruschwitz scored his first goal with 6:03 left in the half racing down the left side before sneaking on by the Zebra’s goalie. Tied 1-1 Kruschwitz would add number two on a free kick with 1:11 left in the half.
Manchester got on the board early in the second half when Kruschwitz scored with 31:59 on the clock off a corner kick from Brandon Wagoner to increase the lead to 3-1. Rochester would make their heavy pressure pay off, scoring with 29:40 left, then at 10:29 to tie the score.
The game would head to overtime where the Squires dominated. In the first seven minute half Kruschwitz would score on his second header of the game at the 3:32 mark, then find the back of the net again with 2:28 left.
The second half of overtime would go scoreless as the Squires defeated the Zebras 5-3.
