The Wabash girls and boys soccer teams took on Delphi Saturday.
The girls were up first and defeated Delphi 4-0.
With the score being 1-0 at halftime after freshman goalkeeper Linda Cordes held Delphi scoreless while Madi Lutz found the back of the net. The Lady Apaches really brought the intensity the 2nd half. Wabash found the back of the net three more times with a beautiful shot from just outside the 18 by Maya Benysh and great finish by freshman Julia France. Another hustle goal by Lutz, assisted by Benysh capped off the scoring.
The Wabash boys were defeated by Delphi 6-2
Austin Black slotted home on a break, and Braden Brooks scored a scrappy goal for the Apaches.
Wabash returns to conference play Thursday against the Peru Tigers.
