GREENWOOD, IND. – Manchester University put two individuals on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s weekly football and volleyball awards announcement, released Monday, Sept. 17.
Freshman placekicker Andrew Kibler (Coral Gables, Fla.) and senior right side hitter Haley Duncan (Albion, Ind.) were tabbed football Special Teams and volleyball Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Kibler was among the key cogs to a 57-26 conference and home-opening victory over Defiance Sept 15. He nailed a 30-yard field goal and was also six-for-seven in extra points in the victory. The Sunshine State native also averaged better than 54 yards per kickoff with one touchback.
Duncan had one of the best five-day spans in recent Black and Gold program memory, helping send MU to a 3-2 record. She averaged four kills per set due to compiling 20-or-more in three matches as part of a stratospheric 92 in 23 sets. The senior also registered a .264 attack percentage.
