The Metro Rage hosted King’s Academy at the Morrett Sports Complex on Tuesday night. The Rage got off to a great start scoring two minutes into the game when Cash Cartwright (NF 8th) found the back of the net off a Trent Osborn (NF So) corner kick. Logan Peas (NF Sr) scored from distance at the six minute mark when he found the King’s goal keeper off of his line. The Rage lead dissolved quickly as King’s academy scored a goal in the run of play and then converted a penalty kick to tie the score around midway through the first half. King’s would get a third goal before the half to take a 3-2 lead into halftime.
The Rage had several scoring opportunities in the second half but failed to convert any shot attempts. King’s Academy would add a late goal to make the final score 4-2.
The Rage are 5-5-1 on the season and travel to Rochester tonight for their second make up game due to rain.
