Rage Picks Up Win At Rochester

The Metro Rage traveled to Rochester Wednesday evening to play their third game in as many days. The Rage scored their first goal at the 10 minute mark when Cash Cartwright (NF 8th) found his classmate Eli Kroh (NF 8th) in front of the goal on a cross from the right corner. Kroh slotted the ball to the left frame to put the Rage up 1-0. Logan Peas (NF Sr) would score an unassisted goal at the 20 minute mark after splitting two Zebra defenders and beating them to the goal. Senior defender Luke Winer (SW) scored the final goal for the Rage 5 minutes later to give them a 3-0 lead at the half.

The Rage had several great shots on goal in the second half but the Zebra’s goalkeeper was up to the challenge and shut them out in the second half. The lone Rochester goal came on a Penalty Kick for a handball in the box as time expired. Rage goalkeeper Trey Wright (HS Fr) was able to guess correctly and dive to his right but he could not keep the ball out of the net. The Rage play at King’s Academy next Thursday in Marion and move to a 7-5-1 record for the year.
