Norse Comeback Falls Short At Rochester

The Northfield Norsemen were scoreless for three quarters Friday at Rochester before coming back and falling 14-13 on a failed two point conversion with .43 left in the game.

Rochester would score the lone points of the first half, punching in a 2yd run with 3:28 left in the quarter for a 7-0 lead. The Zebras would add to their lead in the third on a 6yd run for a 14-0 lead before the exciting fourth quarter.

With 4:49 left in the game Levi Fulkerson would hook up with Jared Peas from 30yds out to cut the deficit to 14-7. The defense would then make the much needed stop to give the offense one more shot. With 42 seconds left in the game Cole Rosen would score from 3yds away, setting up a difficult decision. The old saying is ”when on the road go for the win” and that’s just what the Norse decided, falling short when the two point pass play failed.
