Wabash JH Cross Country Invite

The Wabash junior high cross country teams hosted the Wabash Invitational Saturday.

Among the 12 other teams competing, Wabash finished first in both the varsity and reserve races. Dave Ford led the Apaches finishing 2nd followed by Kaden Vogel in 8th, Eli Callahan in 11th, Chase Howard in 13th, Justin Booth in 15th, Jacob Fuchs in 17th, and Drew Guenin-Hodson in 19th.

The boys in the reserve race were led by Brett Shull who finished 1st. Colton Schuler finished 3rd, Jace Bullins was 6th, Braxten Lakin 16th, and Kasen Oswalt was 17th to round out the team scoring.

For Northfield Jaden Baer placed 18th to receive a medal. Luke Haupert also made the awards stand placing 27th , Ryan Brunette was 38th and Brady McDonald 39th , Reid Haupert placed 53rd . The team finished 6th on the day.

In the Middle School Reserve race Tyler Haupert placed 8th for the Norse in 14:01, Xavier Roark was 37th , Lucis Bever placed 48th and Evan Hall placed 50th

Manchester won the girls race with an exciting finish, but we have not received information from them.

Mara Zolman was first for the Norse and received a medal placing 17th in a time of 13:43, Madeline Moore was next for the Norse placing 36th and ‚ÄčAnna Kissel was 38th , followed by Trinity Bever in 39th , Gracie Dale placed 47th and Jaycie Krom
was 64th . Natalee Keller ran a life time personal best placing 77th ! The Lady Norse placed 7th as a team

In the Girls Reserve Race, Allie Pinkerton improved her time and finished in 34th

For Wabash, 6th grader Ivy Beamer flew through the finish with a time of 15:09 and came in as the first Wabash Apache. Grace LaMar, an 8th grader, followed in with a 15:47. The trio of 5th grade girls finished off for the team to compete for a team score. Ava Bishir finished with a time of 16:16 with her teammate Ashleigh Hadley coming in with a time of 16:33. Coming in next for the Lady Apaches was Maya Howard with a time of 16:56. The girls walked with 9th place as a team.
