Wabash Boys Soccer Plays To 1-1 Tie

The Wabash Apache boys varsity soccer team travelled to Carroll High School in Flora for their final regular season match on Thursday night, playing to a 1-1 tie.

The two squads battled in the first half, but the Cougars were awarded a penalty kick with 19 seconds left in the first half. Blayze Shemwell made a wonderful stop in the spot kick to keep the Cougars off the board in the first half.

The Apaches scored first in the second half when Austin Black crashed the goal and scored off a Wyatt Davis shot. The Cougars equalized with 7 minutes left in the game to even the match, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Apaches head to their sectional matchup with Blackhawk Christian on Wednesday. The game will be played at 7PM.
