Squires Dismantle Peru

The Manchester Squires traveled to Peru Friday, scoring 8 times in the first half and dismantling the Tigers 66-7.

The Squires would score 4 times in the first quarter and 4 times in the second to lead 53-0 at the half. Devin Marcum got things going with a 13yd run and followed that up by hooking up with Mason Meyer on a 36yd scoring strike to lead 14-0. Delton Moore would then get on the board with a 27yd touchdown before Marcum threw his second touchdown of the quarter, a 52yd strike to Tyce Rooney. Manchester led 28-0 after one.

The Squires would keep the foot on the pedal in the second. Marcum would find Trey Clark for a 7yd scoring strike, then connect with Braxton Ream from 14yds away to lead 41-0. The next score would come from Moore from 3yds out before Marcum threw his 5th TD pass of the half from 31yds out to Seth Gaerte to make it 53-0 at the half.

In the second half Moore would make it 59-0 on a 34yd run before Peru finally got on the board. Leading 59-7 the Squires would score one more time when Gaerte scored from 5yds out for the 66-7 final.
