Lady Knights Impressive In Season Opener

An aggressive Southwood Lady Knights defense would keep the Blackford Lady Bruins from ever finding an offensive rhythm, especially to start the game, holding Blackford to only 3 points in the opening quarter in a 49-23 season opening win.

The Knights would also be aggressive going to the basket in the opening half, getting to the charity stripe 17 trips. All 12 players who dressed were able to play on the opening night, and most contributed to the stat line.

Coach West quote “By no means a perfect performance, but a decent start to our campaign. Learned more about areas we need continued improvement, yet enjoyed seeing some new strengths we did not have last year.”
