Lady Squires Hold Off Huntington

Just a few days after upsetting #4 Northfield the Manchester Lady Squires remained on a roll, defeating 4A Huntington North 41-37 Tuesday.

After trailing 12-7 after the first stop the Squires would dominate the second quarter. Manchester would out score Huntington 20-8 and grab a 27-20 halftime lead.

Manchester would add to their lead in the third, leading 39-30 before holding on for the 41-37 win.

Kiera Hatfield- 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals
Eva Bazzoni- 2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists
Jirni Cripe- 4 points, 3 rebound, 2 steals, 1 assists
Kennidy Lauer- 5 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal
Mackenzie Day- 2 points, 4 rebounds
Bailey Mooney- 1 rebound

Coach’s Comments: This victory is the first time the Lady Squires have defeated Huntington North since 1984. I am so proud of the accomplishment that the girls achieved tonight. I think our drive and focus is where it needs to be to play at a high
level. Ready to get back at it tomorrow and see what else this team can accomplish.
