Southwood Splits Double Header With Peru

The Southwood girls and boys took on Peru Saturday in a double header, splitting with the Tigers.

The lady Knights fell to Peru 46-39. Southwood led 9-8 after the first stop before being out scored 8-5 in the second to trail 16-14 at the half. Peru would win the second half 30-25.

The Southwood boys would win a thriller 61-59 in overtime.

In a dog fight the entire way the game was tied 11-11 after the first quarter with the Knights leading 24-22 at the half.

Peru would out score the Knights 15-12 in the third to grab a one point lead heading to the fourth before the Knights returned the favor by a point in the fourth to force the OT. The Knights would then out score the Tigers 8-6 in the overtime.
