The Southwood Knights boys basketball team took on TRC foe Maconaquah Friday night, defeating the Braves 73-66 in double overtime.

There was no down time in the first quarter as each team wanted to play up tempo. The Knights were right at home with that style, leading 26-19 after the first stop.

Maconqauah would slow the pace a bit in the second quarter, taking two points off the deficit by the half, put scoring Southwood 15-13. The Knights led 39-34 at the half.

Maconaquah would grab the lead in the third, out scoring Southwood 17-8 before the Knights came racing back in the fourth to force overtime, tied at 60.

The two teams would play to a 6-6 tie in the first OT before the Knights defense took over in the second, shutting out the Braves 7-0 for the 73-66 final.
