Norse Set Three Record In Sectional Championship

The Northfield Norsemen hit 8 three pointers in the sectional championship against Lafayette Central Catholic, setting a new school record for most in a season but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the #3 Knights 64-49 Saturday.

The game was close throughout as the Norse came up with 14 steals, staying within striking distance before falling short.

Leading the way was Graydon Holmes with 13 points including a career high 3 3-pointers. Nate Drancik closed out his career with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Jared Peas held first team all state guard Carson Barrett to two points as Jared scored 10 points and added 4 rebounds and 5 steals. Logan Peas also played his final game as he scored 7 points and added 4 rebounds. Clayton Tomlinson rounded out the scoring with 7 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. With the 8 three pointers by the Norse they set the school record for most threes in school history, Also closing out their careers were Daniel Driscoll and Cole Rosen.
