Southwood C Falls To Eastern

The Southwood C team fell to Eastern 20-17 Thursday.

A solid defensive effort however kept Southwood in the ballgame throughout. Halftime adjustments called for a spread look in the 2nd half, requiring the Knights to drive and cut. A few nice passes led to open layups and shots, and full court pressure turned the Comets over late in the game. Southwood’s pressure limited the hosts to only 5 made field goals on the evening, but they were unable to overcome their slow offensive start. A three point basket rattled out as time expired that would’ve sent the game to overtime.
