Sharp Creek Student Wins Skeet Shooting National Championship

Sharp Creek 4th grader Damian Cowan had a summer to remember for a lifetime in 2015. Damian shoots on a youth Shotgun team called the Kosko Dust Devils and started shooting competitive skeet this spring. In his first year Damian recorded an impressive list of individual and team placements, including winning the national championship with teammates  Owen Knight and Nathan Creed at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex July 13 – July 16 in Sparta, IL.


The Kosko Dust Devils practice at Kosko Shotgun Sports Complex in Warsaw, IN. Kosko Shotgun Sports offers American Skeet, American Trap, Sporting Clays, 5-Stand and International Skeet.  The Kosko Dust Devils specialize in American Skeet and occasionally shoot other disciplines.

Reservoir Dogs July 17th Salamonie Results

It was a HOT Day and so was the fishing,

Phil Prater and His Son David took first place and Biggest Bass with a five fish weight of 11lb  5oz, with a 4lb 7oz kicker fish, good job guys.
2nd place went to Charlie Baldwin, and Charley Riggle, with five Bass and a total weight of 9lb 12oz.
3rd place went to Denny Kochenour and Jerry Dials, five Bass weight of 9lb even.
4th place went to Brad Shaw who fished as a single had 4 Bass with a weight of 5lb 11oz.
Any team can show up to fish this series. The schedule is listed at the top of the site.

Results from June 19th at Mississenewa

Charlie Baldwin and Evan Baldwin took first place and big Bass, they had 3 fish with a total weight of 4 lb 11 oz, B.B was 1lb 10 oz.
2nd place was Ken Waisner and Marc Persons, with 2 fish at 2 lb 13 oz.
and 3rd was Dennis Kochenour and David Prater with 2 fish at 2 lb 12 oz.
Next tournament will be at Salamonie July 17th, hope to see you there.
