Norse Fall In Final Seconds At Rochester
The Northfield boys basketball team dropped a close TRC match up to Rochester 59-55 Friday.
The game featured 7 ties and 11 lead changes. Rochester led 16-13 after the first quarter before the Norse cut into the lead in the second, trailing 33-32 at the half.
The two teams would play to a tie in the third before Rochester out scored the Norse 12-9 in the fourth.
Jared Peas was outstanding scoring 27 points and added 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Nate Drancik pumped in 11 with 5 rebounds. Clayton Tomlinson had 11 points but was limited to just 3 assists. Rounding out the scoring was Logan Peas with 7. Cole Rosen let a defensive effort with 4 steals and Braden Ripplinger added 2 as the Norse had 17 steals on the night.
Norse are back in action Saturday night at Caston.
